Privacy policy

Puckmaxxing is a training app for young hockey players. Parents create the account and decide what we may do with their child's information. We collect as little as we can, and we never sell it.

What we collect about parents

• Your email address and password (stored securely by our authentication provider).
• Your country, an optional first name, and your settings, like whether promotions approve automatically.
• A record of what you agreed to and when, including consent for each player profile.
• Subscription status, handled by the App Store, Google Play or our payment provider. We don't see card numbers.

What we collect about players

• A first name or nickname, birth year and avatar colour.
• Training activity: sessions, sets, timings, ranks, streaks and badges.
• Reps a player reports after a set. These only adjust how hard the next session is.
• Basic device information needed to link a phone or tablet to their profile, and a push notification token if notifications are allowed.

We never collect a player's email, surname, photos, voice, location or free-text messages. Players have no password and no way to contact other users.

How we use it

• To build sessions, track progress and run promotions (required for the app to work).
• To notify you about promotions or ranks about to slip, if you allow it.
• To understand how the app is used so we can improve it, only if you opt in. This data stays with us.

We don't show ads, and we don't use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

Children's privacy

A parent or legal guardian must create each player profile and give consent before we collect anything about the player. We email you a confirmation when you do. You can change your consent choices or delete a profile at any time in the app, and deleting a profile removes the player's training data.

Who we share it with

Only service providers that run the app for us: hosting and database (Supabase, Canada), email delivery (Resend), push notifications (Expo) and payments (Apple, Google or our payment processor). They may only use the data to provide their service.

Where it's stored and how long

Data is stored in Canada. We keep it while your account is active. When you delete a profile or account, we delete the associated data, except the consent record, which we keep as proof of consent as the law requires.

Your choices

• See, change or delete player profiles and consent choices in the app.
• Turn notifications off in the app or on the device.
• Delete your whole account in the app under Settings, or email privacy@puckmaxxing.com to request a copy of your data.
